Jasmin Blasco (b.1981) is a multi-disciplinary artist who approaches time-based media as the site where sound, image, and language conspire to generate fictions. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
Speak My Language proposes to explore the sound of words and the music beyond it.
Every month we will feature a guest to investigate a specific world of sound through a curated playlist.
This month featured guest Dustin Wong:
Dustin was born in Hawaii and grew up in Tokyo. He attended the California College of Art to study film and video from 2001-2003, and the Maryland Institute College of Art from 2003-2005 to study sculpture and performance art.
Dustin started musical activities with bands Ecstatic Sunshine, releasing records with Freckle Wars, Living and Way. With Ponytail, he released albums Kamehameha, Ice Cream Spiritual and Do what ever you want all the time, afterwards doing solo guitar performances and releasing albums Seasons, Infinite Love, Dreams Say, View, Create, Shadow Leads; let it go and Mediation of Ecstatic Energy.
In 2012 he started a duo project with Takako Minekawa in Tokyo, releasing albums Toropical Circle, Savage Imagination and Are Euphoria.
